I made this cowboy shirt right after returning from a three-day Promosi Jualan MARA in Miri. Sewing is a great therapy for my stressful mind and my tired body. Anyway, it's been a great experience to meet and to educate people what smocking is all about :-).
Back to the shirt, it was supposed to be a picture-smocked shirt with pictures of horses on it's yoke and back. Material I used is US cotton plain blue and I used the red checker cotton I bought from Crafty Buddy .
It was supposed to be a long-sleeved shirt but alas! This is size 4 (abandoned for so long, can you believe this?!) Since Alif Harriz (turns 7 this year) is a small (but tall) young boy, so hubby suggested short sleeves. The right solution indeed! :-)
This is the first time I make a boy shirt and I plan to make another one for him using the same pattern but this time will use denim and size 6.
His comment? "Well done Mama!"
